The House:

The house is as lovely as it is large. a stately turn of the century craftsman, lovingly maintained and extensively updated. The ceilings are almost 9' high and there is great natural light in every room. The upstairs is newer stain resistant carpet and the rest of the house has hardwood floors through out.  1 shared bathroom with an over-bath shower, a lovely downstairs half bath, a large gourmet eat-in kitchen, a formal dining room with detached sun room, formal living room with fireplace,  a back deck and gorgeous yard. There is ample, free street parking, wireless high speed fiber optic internet, and high-efficiency washer and dryer. The kitchen has a 6-burner viking gas range, toaster, microwave, dishwasher, garbage disposal, Sub Zero refrigerator, ample custom cabinets and shared pots/ pans/ dishes/ etc. I am very good about cleaning up after myself.
The house is huge so it never feels like you're stepping on each other's toes.  

 

The Surrounding Neighborhood:

It is a beautiful, quiet and safe neighborhood, Solano Ave. is just 3 blocks away with over a mile of restaurants shops etc.. It is a 10-minute bus ride to the UC Berkeley campus, with four different bus lines (7, 18, 25, and the FS) stopping around the corner. The area is very flat and bike friendly and there are walking trails up into the hills that begin just a few houses down. Contra Costa Rock Park is 0.4 mi. away and Indian Rock Park is 0.6 mi. away.
